TEAM TRAINING

What a fantastic weekend! A huge thanks to D7 Domas, who came early to help everyone with their radios, even though he had other commitments. It was a massive help, and we really appreciate it.
Unfortunately, D35 Sabrina couldn’t make it this time—this is the second time, but we’re hoping to see her again soon. A warm welcome to D12 Andrius and D9 Mindaugas, both new to the team. D12, who was first-time airsofting, did really well—great to have them on board!
Training Feedback and Highlights
The biggest improvement noted by D1 VJ was our comms. He was impressed with the progress, saying it’s 100% better than before. We also worked on key move-and-cover tactics, field to fire, and staggered formations, which were a huge improvement for the team.
We also covered role-specific training for snipers, machine gunners, and medics, reinforcing responsibilities in the field. Squad coordination was tested in attacking and defending exercises, with a focus on movement, positioning, and effective communication under pressure.

A special shoutout to D05 Andrius D13 Travis, who performed exceptionally well in overwatch roles during CQB and both offensive and defensive exercises. His ability to hold key positions, provide accurate callouts, and wait for squad commands before engaging was a big highlight of the session.
Other tactical refinements included CQB positioning, proper use of cover, and maintaining tight squad formations to reduce casualties. VJ also noted a significant improvement in D41 Toby’s CQB skills—great progress throughout the session, well done! Additionally, we emphasized situational awareness, rifle handling, and quick transitions to sidearms when necessary.
Training Session Feedback
One key takeaway from the briefing was that it ran a bit too long. After discussing with D1 VJ, we agreed that training should be broken down into smaller components. There’s a lot to cover, but we’ll focus on what’s most relevant for our MILSIM objectives, ensuring steady progress without overloading everyone in one session.
